Dangerous conditions forecast as 'weather bomb' hits Scotland's coast.
A yellow "be aware" warning was issued by the Met Office for most of the UK for later on Tuesday, Wednesday and early on Thursday. For Scotlandб especially its Nothern and Western Isles, the warning has been upgraded to amber "be prepared".
Ferry and rail services in Scotland have been cancelled as gales strengthen ahead of an Atlantic storm that is due to hit the UK later. Severe winds have been forecast and see swells for parts of Scotland of up to 40 feet or 12 metres.
